How to make a claim for compensation

- Report your accident as soon as possible by using the Online Crash Reporting Facility: www.crashreport.com.au; and
- Contact ICWA and complete a Notice of Intention to Make Claim Form.
Catastophic Injuries
- Report your accident as soon as possible by using the Online Crash Reporting Facility: www.crashreport.com.au; and
- Contact ICWA and complete an Application Form for the Catastrophic Injuries Support Scheme.
What happens if there is a delay before making a claim?
The MV Act (sections 7, 29 and 29A) provides ICWA with mechanisms to defend a claim is there is an unreasonable delay in making the claim. If your claim is refused on the grounds of late notification then you should seek legal advice immediately.
