5.3 REQUESTS UNDER THE OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT 1982

The format for citing requests under the Official Information Act 1982 is as follows:

To whom the request was made should be indicated following the material cited.

All material obtained under the Official Information Act 1982 should be indicated as such, even if it is generally available. In some cases, the material may not be available other than from the body from which it was requested. Indicating the source of the material allows others to follow the research trail.
